Obfuscation: Breaking Torpor

That which oppresses us.

Do you ever find yourself flying along until you’ve hit the wall of adversity?

Do you find anxiety instead of the comfort of soft lies?

Discovering the distortion of truth and the shroud of despair.

Things that we cannot comprehend when life seems to obfuscate the bigger picture and our place within.

Striving to seek the warm embrace of day when we’re hunted by the ever encroaching black of night.

It’s hard to find markers in this path when we’re blazing this trail in the wilds of the unknown.

Remember when everything seemed so easy? Like life had thrown us a bone.

Perhaps that was the period of grace – the calm before the storm to come.

How could one come to appreciate our gifts without the challenge of difficulty?

Before one hangs up their aspirations and settles for depressions way –

Wouldn’t it be wiser to smash the convention of oppression and make way for dreams no matter how far fetched?

One step towards a goal is a step in the right direction.

Escaping that which stops us.

A Hiccup In Sanity

lurkers

There are things that exist beyond the normal measure of human perception. Things that lurk passed the three dimensions that we call reality. Things that we cannot see when actively looking for them. To us they’ve been called myths, legends, cryptids but to those who are crazy enough to believe we call them monsters. Things that go bump in the night. They don’t appear to just everyone but when we blink sometimes we see between the lines.  Sometimes we see that which shouldn’t exist and find ourselves trapped out in the impossible. It’s not a matter of who we are going in but who we are coming out. Some would find it exhilarating and adventurous to encounter something beyond scope but to the paranoid they know better.  They know that not everyone makes it through, not everyone comes back sane. That sometimes those touched by the beyond emerge from the wood works and try to warn us about the things that are truly vile and alien that seek to draw pernicious plans against us. For this challenging of the norm, we believe them to be crazy for ever claiming such a thing ever existed in the first place. When reality fails momentarily we find it to be a hiccup in sanity. By that gesture a moment is an eternity and an eternity can be damnation. So let us hope we do not draw their unwanted attention, let us hope that we as a people have a continued being without ever crossing paths with the unknown.

What is Ego without balan…

What is Ego without balance? Pretension.

This is a thought that I’ve been kicking around lately. It’s been through the most intimate places of self and environment. I’ve seen it present in people I thought I could I count on when the chips are down. Not that I should put all my faith into the capabilities of man but I see the effect of people who operate with the sort of personal impunity and delusion of self that can be overwhelmingly larger than life. I think somehow it is the responsibility of our peers to ensure we operate within rational logic and reasoning through the liberal administration of humble pie. It may suck to hit rock bottom but it serves as a means to have something to ultimately work towards. An improvement of self on a level playing field, if I dare say.

Baal: The Worth of Vigilance

The right man for the wrong kind of job.

Has ship will travel. No job too difficult, not query too far. No enemy too fast.

Backfired

Backfired

Sometimes it is not a matter of skill that keeps us sharper than steel or more focused than that of an eagle. It is the world we live in, it is the probability for operating in life without any conceivable measure of outcomes. Other than the black and white of success and failure.

Sometimes for all of our good intentions we find ourselves outwitted by the gremlins that seemingly and invisibly so that come into our lives and turn it Topsy-turvy. An immediate challenge to the control we once held on the situation and a challenge that isn’t always met head on, since success can seem so near when we’re falling away from it.

Let this be a cautionary sort of deal that when it seems too good to be true, pinch yourself. Make sure you’re not dreaming and if you aren’t then be warned there’s more to complacency that meets the eye.

We as people don’t like …

We as people don’t like to think of ourselves as something so easily replaceable  or upgradable like electronics. For those who think about it a bit deeply – it’s disconcerting and distressing to find out one has been phased out by a person or group of peers as if they were thought to be obsolete.  Some folks just get indignant, start acting out and rightly so. Our time on this globe is limited we’re not toasters, TVs or Cellphones.  So while we’re here let’s not treat each other as such.

The moral of the quote is, “Be grateful for who you have in your life today because they might not be in it tomorrow.”

On occasion I do art. My apologies on the quality of the picture but cellphone cameras are not always the win.
