A Hiccup In Sanity

There are things that exist beyond the normal measure of human perception. Things that lurk passed the three dimensions that we call reality. Things that we cannot see when actively looking for them. To us they’ve been called myths, legends, cryptids but to those who are crazy enough to believe we call them monsters. Things that go bump in the night. They don’t appear to just everyone but when we blink sometimes we see between the lines.Β  Sometimes we see that which shouldn’t exist and find ourselves trapped out in the impossible. It’s not a matter of who we are going in but who we are coming out. Some would find it exhilarating and adventurous to encounter something beyond scope but to the paranoid they know better.Β  They know that not everyone makes it through, not everyone comes back sane. That sometimes those touched by the beyond emerge from the wood works and try to warn us about the things that are truly vile and alien that seek to draw pernicious plans against us. For this challenging of the norm, we believe them to be crazy for ever claiming such a thing ever existed in the first place. When reality fails momentarily we find it to be a hiccup in sanity. By that gesture a moment is an eternity and an eternity can be damnation. So let us hope we do not draw their unwanted attention, let us hope that we as a people have a continued being without ever crossing paths with the unknown.

yeah, who knows how many dimensions reality really is… seems we’re still trying to find that out. πŸ™‚

we cross the paths of the unknown all the time, and it becomes known. i don’t think knowing more is hurtful – what’s hurtful is accepting the new information and adding it to one’s world view. we’re so very attached to our world views.

nicely written, inspiring; sorry if i started a bit of a ramble there…

I fully believe in that which we don’t see. I mean, look at quantum mechanics–we are all of electrons. Thought-provoking write. πŸ™‚

Well very much appreciated, Thank you! I go on thinking tangents in regards to everything and I can thank the almighty and my gift of insomnia to see me to creativity. Quantum-Mechanics are an amazing theory which I think is provable into law. However, I don’t think people as a majority are ready for it and what we might find. They already have a hard enough time working together or seeing to it that common problems are addressed. Unless you’re crazy then you probably have all the free time in the world.

So’re you familiar with the works of H.P. Lovecraft?

I am—as yet—not. I wikipedia’d duly, and see he is sort of Author X for “cosmic horror stories”? Does that sound right–to you, who knows? I love Ray Bradbury, however, and also Stephen King is a guilty pleasure–and those 2 combined sound a little like H.P. Lovecraft. Recommend a title for me, and I will request it from the library. πŸ™‚
